Rubens Akira Kuana was born in Videira, Santa Catarina, in 1992. He translated contemporary poets as Sophie Robinson, Lonely Cristopher, Ariana Reines, Alex Dimitrov, among others.

He was published in the literary magazines Modo de Usar & Co, Suplemento Pernambuco, Babelsprech (Germany), Samplecanon (Netherlands) and Hilda Magazine.

Rubens Akira Kuana lives and works in Curitiba, where he studies architecture and urbanism.
