the mouth sounds such hauntings

Kathleen Ottinger was born in Mineola, NY in 1991. She considers herself an “author-artist,” as she maintains both a writing practice and a visual arts practice. Her work often investigates the relationship between text and image, memory and its fallibility, and how physical beings find meaning in a world that has become increasingly digital. In 2014, she will receive her B.F.A. in Film and Video from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and her B.A. in Literary Arts from Brown University. Kathleen Ottinger lives and works in Providence, RI.
