0123-Leshner-OkCupid-cover
This is a book of okcupid poetry. All the text has been taken from the language of the site: profile templates, dropdown menus, the site's "about" page, help pages, etc. Nothing was taken from personal profiles or messages. And yes, I have used the site personally, so this is not intended to be critical or to poke fun at the enterprise. Instead, this poetry is meant illuminate a new perspective on the emerging digital age of romance: how it reinforces preconceived definitions of attraction, and how it rewrites the way we think of and express that innocent hope to fall in love. Note: feel free to rearrange the fragments, they appear simply in the order they were created.
