My name is Kalin Grace Palmer, and I am a first year student at the University of South Florida working toward a bachelor’s in creative writing. I have been interested in creative writing for years now, and started writing poetry at 15. I’m very interested in diversity among people and the way that different individuals see the world, and this inspires much of my writing. Of course, it is mainly motivated by my own feelings and emotions. My writing is very deep – personal. It reveals the sides of me that only my closest friends are allowed to see. I think that’s what poetry should be about, though: a look into another’s soul. Mine might be a bit broken and lost, but that’s exactly what fuels my writing. I believe you can find all you could possibly know about me simply by reading it.
